On September 23rd, we had a home volleyball match between our lady dogs and Woodbine. The big crowd was suffocating from how many people came to support both teams! All of the support was much appreciated from our communities. It was a very intense game, but the Boyer Valley girls pulled out on top and crushed the Tigers! A few people who made this possible were Ava Klinker (SR) with 47 assists, Sylvia Sullivan (SR) with 22 kills, and Harper Christiansen (SO) with 24 digs. Good job girls! --Student Reporter

Braxton D, a freshman here at Boyer Valley, attended Southwest SDE days for livestock judging. During livestock judging, Braxton judged pigs, goats, and sheep. His favorite animals to judge were the sheep. Braxton said it was a ton of fun and can not wait till next year to go back. Keep up the hard work in the agriculture industry!
Trevan K, also a freshman, recently had the opportunity to take part in a meat judging event at Southwest SDE days, where he judged beef, pork, and lamb. It was his first time participating in something like this, and he found it to be a fun and interesting experience.
Although it rained during the event, Trevan didn’t let the weather stop him from enjoying the day. He learned a lot about how to evaluate different types of meat and what qualities judges look for. Overall, Trevan had a great time and said he would definitely do it again next year. Keep trying to experience more in this industry, Trevan!

Cheer Camp, Sept 19th. The cheerleaders started cheer camp off by meeting the girls at the bus stop in Dunlap. Once cheerleaders got all of the kids they went back into the high school to give the kids a snack and their cheer shirts. After they ate their snacks, the cheerleaders went into the gym and got the girls into their grade groups. For example, kindergarten/first grade, second/third grade, and fifth/fourth grade. After they lined up the girls into grades, they broke down the 18 cheers for the girls and their individual grades cheers that they taught the girls. Afterwards, the cheerleaders showed the other grades their individual grades cheers.
